The Black Medallion

Huacaya Herdsire (Male) True Black

AOA# 31310314 DOB: 8/24/200816 yrs
Amazing True Black Herdsire that has it all.... FINENESS! DENSITY! BUNDLING CRIMP! and EXCELLENT CONFIRMATION. During the 2009 show season, the Judges commented on Black Medallion being "the new generation of black fleece". Black Medallion has retained the fineness, crimp and density that made him a Color Champion and Blue Ribbon winner. You need to see this male for yourself to appreciate how truely spectucular he is. His first crias have arrived in a variety of different colors ...

White Lightning had a bit of a rough start in life, but he is a fighter. He lost his dam at the tender age of two months, but luckily he had already started eating pellets. We helped him through the next 4 months with supplemental bottle feedings and he grew up quite nicely. He knows his place as an alpaca (we were careful not to allow him to become too "familiar").

He comes from a black sire and a fawn dam and we were quite surprised when he was born as we didn't expect a white cria. He does have one fawn spot on his rump and will most likely produce fawn when he becomes a herd sire. We really like this guy's fleece. He has good fineness and is very crimpy and extremely uniform--all qualities that his sire has held in his fleece over the years.

Lightening took a third in a very large class of white male juvies from some big name farms at GWAS last year and that is sayin' something!
